IC card is the short name for Integrated Circuit Card, it’s the PVC cards which insert Integrated circuit chip inside, the appearance and size all follow ISO Standard (ISO/IEC 7816, GB/T16649). The chips normally adopt Non-volatile Memory (ROM, EEPROM), protection logic circuit or even microprocessor CPU. Only IC cards which include CPU that we can call it a really smart card

Contact IC chip cards can divided into three parts: Memory Card; Smart Card which contain CPU; Supper Smart Card which have monitor and keyboard.
